| I'm sure the altimeter works great going by all the other Eagle tree gear I own. Pity the Altimeter I got was dead on arrival. Awaiting a replacement from hobby city. Fingers crossed. 23 people like this review.

Very useful eagle tree tool. Is prefect for stand alone use or in combination with the eagle tree datalogger v3. It is more accurate than the v2 altimeter and better temperature calibrated. The altimeter v2 has to be calibrate yourself, this isn't necessary any more with the v3, it is precalibrated. easy switching between metric or English units.
here are the specs: Measures altitude up to 4570m (15000feet) resolution: ~ 1 meter (~4 ft.) power input(Standalone Mode):3V - 16V weight: 4 g (0,15oz) dimensions: 28x16x10mm (1,1x0,62x0,4 inch) Advanced Temperature Compensation Metric or English units

Funktioniert gut.

I use this sensor standalone in my 2m-glider. After flight I can quickly check the maximum height.
Only 4g weight, easy to switch between meter und feet, very easy to read, and well worth the money.
I can recommend this product!

I purchased this sensor for standalone use in my 2m-glider. Not to break any records but as a very useful tool on improving my Thermal flying After a flight I can quickly check the maximum height. Now this was interesting as we always think we are flying higher that we are, but more importantly as a tool I take mental notes when I get into a thermal and then the size of the glider as a reference... at only 4gms it makes no difference to any CG. but know because of the ease of use.. a Standalone lead with plug into a spare servo or a jumper "Y" lead. No it will buy the logger and this will give me the stats of the complete flight.. A very useful tool to improve your thermal flying .. even in just standalone.. If you just want to see how height you go it will do that. It comes preset in feet and a jumper will converts it to Metric simple... easy to move from one plane to another but for the price and the value of info will buy more.and test thing like 1 minute motor runs and see how high you can get .. change the prop and do it again.. the combinations of what you can do even in standalone mode is only limited by your imagination, Then if you add the Logger...well..the skies the limit.. I will also be adding the airspeed sensor.. and with the logger you have a LOT of information about your flight and if use it well it WILL help to improve your flying. defiantly a thumbs up. Which ever way you use it.. I can recommend this product +++ and the data remain in memory unti 3 people like this review.

This altitude sensor is small, light and works great. it even works inside a nitro helicopter canopy! |
|
|
| A German manual is available at http://tinyurl.com/yd7v69h |

|
| Works great even in a helicopter where there is a down draft created by the rotor blades some of which flows into the canopy. |

Very precise altitude sensor. Alright good (max error 2m during few seconds) |

| Having fun using with the ET-logger. Just ordering the throttle sensor. (dont use break so the rpm indicator shows rpm with wind). Now ill get a more complete picture of the flight. Have a gps but not et's. |

|
| Probably the easiest way to find out about the max altitude during a flight session. Easy to use and read, both metric and unified. Requires a free servo channel or y-cable for power |
|
|
| This is a must have for FPV flights. The altitude measure provided by any GPS is just inaccurate (+/- 50 meters) while i found an accuracy within 1 meter using this sensor. Light and very easy to install and configure (almost plug and play). |

| i love this altimeter! i put it on my bungee launch gliders and practice to get a higher and higher launch! |

ALTITUDE-V3 Altitude MicroSensor (standalone or e-logger) V3 What a cracker! Much better/easier/accurate than the other (led triggered). Can't wait to try it? hook it up to a battery (Tx) and drive up a long hill and be amazed! Better still, if you have the V3 logger.. use that and then after driving around a bit observe your route on the PC charting. Great for seeing just how the thermal affected your flight. Proof of the pudding. |
