How do you solder the red & black wires to the white plastic plug without melting the plastic?

Heat the wire up with some excess of tin on it, and just stick it onto the pin of the plug, thereby not heating the plug. You might need a few tries before it holds. Try to pull the wires off after the solder to check that the solder is good enough. Remember that only minimal current is going through these solders.
Good Luck!

I use 15W solder without problems. Wires are so thin that quick touch is enough. Then cover all 4 pins with shrink tube to avoind short circuit!

use a good hot iron. Touch the pin with the pin with the iron and touch the in with a little solder a split second after remove the iron quickly, this will tin the pins (put solder on them) if you iron is at a good temp this takes 1-2 second THAT IS IT.
Then tin the wire end, then hold the wire to the pin and heat it for 1-2seconds the solder on the pin and the wire will melt, remove the iron quickly..hold the wire in place..done..(don't forget to put shrink wrap on the wire first.)

All of these 3S - 6S monitors has exactly same board number. I am using both 3S and 6S monitors. When unpacking first thing what I do is to mark which size they are. Otherwise later it's impossible to make difference, exept by burning them.

No! Not easily anyways - you'll need some electronics knowledge
