| omg! i put this thing in a pocket bike (mini street bike) with a small 6tooth sprocket, 140amp esc and 4 lawn mower batteries and omg! 52mph 0-top in 4 seconds and will go gor 1.5 hrs!!!

Test:
- lipo 12S 4100 HX - prop APC 27X15 - 97 Amp - 4.300 W - PULL 13,5 KG.
- lipo 12S 4100 HX - prop TOC Carbon 24X12 - 62 Amp - 2.880 w - PULL 9,5 KG.
I think that this motor, with a speed controller from 200 Amp and 14s lipo can give better performances. Unitedhobbies I pray you find to me a speed governor larger.

I use it on a electric moped
it does 35km/h and the amp is 32A
I use 24V,75Ah batteries
Turnigy 100A esc and UBEC works
fine, the coolingplate is replaced
with a larger one.
Use a servotester to control the esc
and you can use these big motors to
many fun/useful things!
I have a very cheap transport now!

dam big motor for the money, i measured it as 144KV (at 24V) using a TURNIGY Sentilon100A HV 2-12S Speed Controller.
and it will tick over happily on as low as 11 volts, so far have had a top speed of 67kph on a mountain bike pulling 85a from a 32v pack -not really an effort for the motor (barely warm) at 2720w, can make at least double this power efficiently.
the wires in mine could fall away from the stator out into the magnets, i just pinned them down with dabs of silicon sealant.

Jason,
You need to run a reduction drive to fly at hang glider speeds. 30MPH? A 30 x 22 @ 6000rpm direct drive only puts out 33% prop efficiency. A 30 x 8 is 49% efficient. A 46 x 14 with a 2 to 1 reduction drive is 57% efficient.

Here is a mini-bike scooter fit with this motor:
I run a pair of them on my bicycle, with 16 6S5Ah LiPo packs. This fellow is running a single one at 12S. It still goes pretty well.

| Sehr schön gebauter Motor, jedoch sollte man von Anfang an die Magnete zusätzlich einkleben, auch sollte man die bestehende Madenschrauben auf der Welle mit hochfestem Leim zusätzlich sichern, da beim Anziehen des Propellers der Motor sonst blockieren kann.

| Heavy, big and fancy a well made motor with plenty of power but mine was defective as far as I am concerned. Tested the motor under no load conditions (25V-30V and 6 Amps) and guess what: the outter shell moved a few mm forward and seized the motor. Is it fixable? I have no idea. I have contacted hobbycity and also left a message on the forum. If anyone knows about these problems let me know! Now that is thata $140 waste!???

Great upgrade from the previous 130kv motor, with the longer flanges on the ends of the motor adding the screws on both ends to hold the motor together if heat causes the epoxy to fail.
Also the monster new bearing on the mounting end to take a lot more side thrust.

| Just got my 80-100-B 130kv I will be putting it on my 30.5 foot hangglider 12s 6p 5000. Start off with a 30 inch 22 pich prop. I need at least 45 lbs of thrust for level flite.Keep you posted.

| Little disappointed, the motor construction looked like crap. The windings were messed up, and black stuff on the coils - possible chance of a short happening. The lead wires were stiff - the factory let the wire absorb too much solder. Sent it back to hobby king to get a replacement. Now that the motor is on backorder, I have to wait several weeks or even a few months to get my product. I am dissappointed that HK keeps lowering the price of this product, I paid $149.99 I have read that this motor is really good-still have faith because I have seen better construction through other photos. If I get my motor soon, and it looks good contruction, I plan to order 2 more of these motors.

Fanatasticaly powerful motor. I used it in my EV motor scooter conversion (http://www.gpsy.com/ev) and it pulls with consistent power on 2 - 4 SLA batteries (24 - 48 volts). I'm very happy with it!!!!!
I'm using a Castle Creations Phoenix HV ESC as this motor pulls mega amps and blew my cheapo no-brand 100A esc.

| 245 Gramm schwerer als das vorgnger Modell. Nachdem ich das Gewinde nachgeschnitten habe. konnte der Propeller gekontert werden ohne das der Segering das Kugellager zerstrte.

| 80-100-B 130kv 30 lbs is all I can get out of this motor 30-10 30-12 34-10 cc hv 12s 3p. no hang gliding 4 me with this motor. dont trust what costomers say if it sound too good its not. 40lbs my ass!!!!

Esse motor é gigante. Comprei para colocá-lo num bike/scooter. Com as baterias A123 vai ficar perfeito.
Aconselho pegar um speed maior que 120A, esse motor tem muita força a dar com certeza!
